A leading pharmaceutical company is seeking an Associate Manager - Drug Safety & Public Health who is an experienced Cognos developer to join their team in Uxbridge, UK on a contract basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for individual requests covering the entire life cycle from requirement elicitation to publishing and support.
  • Develop new reports and maintain existing reports across the full spectrum of business operations all within a fully documented process.
  • Requires experience of working in a highly regulated environment and will be adaptable to service changing priorities.
  • Contributes to full life cycle of safety data retrieval activities -data query, authoring, validation and publishing reports
  • Demonstrates attention to detail, teamwork and initiative
  • Comfortable working with stakeholders to implement and support drug safety systems in accordance with regulatory requirements and company business practices
  • Provision of relevant documentation in line with current practices

Education, Skills and Experience:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Independently establishes work priorities and direction with minimal input from manager
  • Adherence to company core values of teamwork, integrity, accountability, excellence and inclusion
  • 5+ years of Cognos 10/11 development experience preferably in the pharmaceutical industry in Drug Safety
  • B.Sc. in a related life sciences field
  • Good knowledge of relational databases, data processing, and enterprise software applications
  • Technical experience with databases and end-user support
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Detailed working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
  • Experience with multiple BI tools is preferred
