An international Contract Research Organization (CRO) is advertising a vacancy for an Associate Direcotr, US Business Development. The organisation provides Clinical Research, Bioanalytical, Pharmacovigilance, and Training Services. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a prestigious organization on a remote basis.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Advise and assist on drafting sales policies and procedures.
  • Generate CRO sales forecasts and probability analyses.
  • Prepare CDA's, quotations, review the master contract agreements.
  • Generate sales management information, including:
  • Reasons for wins and losses
  • Progress of opportunities in relation to sales processes
  • Success rates
  • Competitive intelligence
  • Make customer sales presentations.
  • Participate in trade shows and customer visits.
  • Identify new leads, new clients, support opportunities, and contribute to successfully closing deals.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with sponsors and maintain ongoing communication with regard to potential projects and opportunities.
  • Liaison internally with the project manager at NCS and other departments as required to structure study proposals.
  • Work closely with NCS to ensure that the information flow is streamlined and to build customer satisfaction.
  • Will function as the primary sales contact point for NCS in the USA.

Skills and Requirements:

  • A degree with a focus in Science coupled with business experience.
  • 3 to 5 years' experience in selling pharmacovigilance services, experience selling CRO services a plus.
  • Experience in contract negotiations and problem solving.
  • Demonstrable multitasking, project management, and execution skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills, including communication, presentation, persuasion, and influence.
  • Good organisational skills, including efficiency, punctuality, and collaboration in a team environment.
  • Proficiency with computer skills, such as MS Office.
