Proclinical is urgently recruiting for an Associate Director of Translational Immunology located in San Francisco, CA. Our client is a rapidly expanding clinical stage biotech developing targeted immunotherapies for both cancer and infectious disease.

We are seeking a Senior Scientist/Associate Director to contribute to the development of the next generation of cancer and infectious disease vaccines at a leading immunotherapy biotech. The primary role of is to lead preclinical evaluation of vaccine vectors for both oncology and infectious disease. You will collaborate with a team of scientists on the development of novel vaccines and the design, execution, and immune monitoring of murine and non-human primate studies.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Strategy, design, and management of murine and non-human primate studies to evaluate novel vaccine-based therapies
  • Development and execution of immune monitoring assays
  • Data analysis and presentation of findings to internal and external stakeholders
  • Generation of preclinical data packages and reports for regulatory filings and partnerships

Skills and Requirements:

  • PhD in Immunology, Infectious disease, Molecular/Cellular Biology, Cancer Biology or related scientific discipline
  • Research experience with in vivo studies, flow cytometry and immune monitoring assays
  • 5+ years relevant industry experience
  • Record of accomplishment as evidenced by developed products or core contributions on publications
  • Ability to learn quickly and execute towards meaningful results
  • Knowledge and expertise in immunology, cancer biology, or infectious disease
  • Extensive experience with mouse studies, non-human primate experience a plus
  • Experience with immunological assays such as ELISpot and intracellular cytokine staining
  • Competency with data analysis using R programming language preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and collaborative skills
  • Desire for continued growth opportunities, including willingness to learn new skills and contribute across cross-functional areas
  • The ability to think critically and perform functions with minimal guidance
  • Impeccable documentation practices and attention to detail
  • The ability to prioritize and complete tasks in a timely manner
  • A willingness to work hard in a fast-paced environment
