Proclinical is advertising a vacancy for an Analytical Chemist position with a top 10 global pharmaceutical company. This leading organization develops a broad range of products in pharmaceuticals, vaccines, and consumer healthcare, and is currently seeking an applicant to join its office in Missouri.

The Analytical Chemist will perform routine analytical testing on raw materials, finished goods, stability and other samples as needed. They will also participate in OOS, investigations, audits, and cross functional improvement teams to provide analytical expertise.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring quality and compliance in accordance with established procedures and standards of the Quality System.
  • Accurately performing analytical testing for raw materials, finished products, stability samples, and all other related samples according to prescribed methods in order to comply with required government, corporate, and site regulations.
  • Documenting all results accurately and efficiently.
  • Cooperating with the other members of the Quality team to efficiently complete required testing
  • Executing the validation of laboratory equipment (including computer validation) as needed.
  • Executing method validation, method transfers and method updates as needed.
  • Supporting audits (internal and external), and work to resolve any resulting findings.
  • Writing, reviewing, and updating Analytical SOPs, methods, and Quality Control Specifications.
  • Maintaining and calibrating laboratory instruments.
  • Maintaining cleanliness of laboratory and supplies.

Skills and Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science/Arts in Chemistry, Biology, Analytical, or other related life science degree.
  • A basic understanding of chemistry and biological science is essential.
  • Experience of routinely processing a variety analytical samples in a quality control laboratory with minimal supervision in a Pharmaceutical setting.
  • Demonstrable multitasking, project management, and execution skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills, including communication, presentation, persuasion, and influence.
  • Good organisational skills, including efficiency, punctuality, and collaboration in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
