Proclinical is currently seeking an Associate Director of Field Medical Strategy & Operations for a global biotechnology company located in Boston, MA. Successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the execution of medical and stakeholder strategies and action plans to support the existing portfolio and pipeline products.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Defining, implementing, and driving processes to improve coordination and execution across US Medical Affairs.
  • Ensuring the coordination, development, review, and execution of all functional plans across USMA functions and ensuring deliverables are met within set timelines.
  • Supporting the collaboration and communication with NAMA Extended Leadership Team, and other groups as needed.
  • Partnering with Field Medical Leadership, Therapeutic Area Leads, and Medical Excellence Team in execution of team training meetings.
  • Partnering with Mosaic Medical Affairs Governance Team in updating the CRM interface.
  • Measuring and reporting on impact of Field Medical Affairs (FMA).
  • Leading the ongoing budgetary processes as part of annual business planning and review of departmental expenses within Field Medical Affairs.
  • Providing leadership for business-critical initiatives and projects as identified by the Field Medical Lead and VP of Medical Affairs.
  • Serving as the Field Medical representative on various cross-functional Governance and Steering Committees.

Skills and Requirements:

  • 6+ years of medical/scientific affairs experience within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry, preferably with some experience in rare disease therapeutic areas.
  • Demonstrated experience and success leading large change initiatives in a healthcare delivery system outside of biopharma will also be considered.
  • Previous MSL or MSL Leadership a plus.
  • MA/MS or PhD, with a strong foundation in the sciences.
  • Broad and deep understanding of global and US Medical, Regulatory, and Commercial environments.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-evolving environment, as well as a proven track record of working effectively in diverse teams involving multi-functional disciplines.
  • Highly organized with a focus on execution, problem solving, and improving processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively lead without authority.
  • Strong influence, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical skills to provide impact assessments of programs and ability to identify changes in practices that are data driven.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide structure to ambiguous situations and to proactively identify and define the need for specific analyses and programs, as well as driving foresight.
  • Proven analytical skills and learning agility to coach and train colleagues across multiple functions.
  • Willingness/Ability to travel up to 25% domestically. International travel may be required.
