A leading biotechnology company that specialises in RNAi therapeutics is advertising a vacancy for an Accounts Payable Specialist position. The organisation uses this innovative form of therapy to treat rare genetic, cardio metabolic, acute hepatic infectious, central nervous system (CNS) and ocular diseases. The Accounts Payable Specialist will join this company in their office in Massachusetts. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated applicant to develop a career in a truly revolutionary field.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assisting the Accounts Payable team with invoice processing via Concur Invoice/SAP/
  • Checking matching and mailing.
  • Overseeing process Service (3-way) and Good (2-way) PO invoices for payment into Concur Invoice.
  • Investigating and resolving problems associated with processed invoice.
  • Monitoring the Accounts Payable email and providing customer service and support to internal departments and vendors with respect to various accounts payable inquiries.
  • Ensuring the availability of documentation and compliance with established policies and audits.
  • Working closely with procurement and receiving to address and resolve all invoices issues and discrepancies.
  • Assisting with annual Form 1099 for all applicable vendors, request vendors W-9 or W-8 forms as needed.
  • Assisting auditors to providing support and documentation on internal processes for accounts payable.
  • Providing support on special projects, as needed.
  • Contributing to the month end close, as requested.

Skills and Requirements:

  • Experience with Concur invoicing system and SAP highly preferred.
  • Experience in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry preferred.
  • Working knowledge of AP best practices. Demonstrated project management skills.
  • Demonstrable multitasking, project management, and execution skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills, including communication, presentation, persuasion, and influence.
  • Good organisational skills, including efficiency, punctuality, and collaboration in a team environment.
  • Proficiency with computer skills, such as MS Office.
