Proclinical is currently recruiting for an Accountant position for one of the largest pharmaceutical companies in the world, located in Foster City, CA. Successful candidates will assist with reconciling accounts, process invoices, and have some experience with Accounts Payable.

Job Responsibilities:

Maintain one or a combination of general accounting processes and systems.
Responsible for the timely and accurate preparation of journal entries (with appropriate supporting documentation) for the month end close and accounting transactions.
Maintain, reconcile and resolve P&L and balance sheet ledger accounts.
Responsible for preparing analysis and schedules for local management as well as internal and external auditors.
May be responsible for the maintenance of general accounting subsystems.
Identify problems which may arise within their defined function and exercises judgment to determine appropriate follow-up action.
Provide back up support to co-workers.
Consistently maintain appropriate internal controls and uphold company policies & procedures including worldwide Controller's manual.
Verification of voicemails and process invoices.
Update compliance forms with vendors.

Skills and Requirements:

1-2 years of AP experience.
Oracle ERP experience.
Accounting background preferred.
Pharma experience is a plus.
Previously experience with W9/W8/CA Tax forms.
