Senior Director, Oncology Translational Medicine - Permanent - Boston, MA

Proclinical is seeking a highly skilled Senior Director of Translational Medicine. This is a permanent position located in Boston, MA.

Primary Responsibilities:

This role is an exciting opportunity to be part of a cutting-edge Clinical Development team, advancing our precision medicine pipeline. The successful candidate will drive all aspects of the translational strategy, delivering key translational milestones, and developing companion diagnostic (CDx) for precision therapies. We welcome individuals with expertise in precision oncology/rare diseases and a knack for collaboration and innovation.

Skills & Requirements:

  • PhD or MD with broad bio/pharmaceutical industry experience in drug development.
  • Proven track record with PMA submissions and CDx approvals.
  • Deep knowledge of oncology and genetic diseases, including companion diagnostics.
  • Strong ability to forge and nurture key partnerships and collaborations.
  • Highly motivated, decisive, and results-oriented with excellent stakeholder management skills.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to influence without authority, lead change, and manage resistance to change.
  • Strong work ethic, excellent problem-solving ability, and attention to detail.

The Senior Director will:

  • Lead the integrated translational medicine strategy for specific precision medicine programs.
  • Act as the strategy lead in cross-functional teams to devise and advance scientific/medical strategies.
  • Define and implement translational objectives and endpoints for clinical study protocols.
  • Oversee outsourcing and validation of clinical biomarker assays and the design of data collection systems.
  • Lead the interpretation of data and their presentation in clinical study reports and publications.
  • Contribute to IND, NDA, PMA submissions via authoring/reviewing relevant sections and generating responses.
  • Build successful internal and external collaborations, including with contract research organizations, academia, and nonprofit organizations.
