In-Vitro Research Associate - Contract - Onsite

Proclinical Staffing is seeking an In-Vitro Research Associate to join a leading pharmaceutical company. This is a contract role located in Boston, MA.

Skills & Requirements:

Experience in tissue culture and purification/quantification of nucleic acids/protein, including qPCR and ELISA
BS in a biological science with at least 3 years of hands-on laboratory experience in cell or molecular biology is required
At least 2 years of industrial experience
Experienced with laboratory automation including liquid handling systems such as Perkin Elmer JANUS, HighRes liquid handling, or other systems.
We particularly seek someone who is detail-oriented and who will flourish in a goal-driven team environment under tight deadlines.

The In-Vitro Research Associate will:

Perform cell culture (iPSCs, primary cells, immortalized cell lines) to support the research needs of the group
Support lab maintenance including reagent inventory and reagent preparation
Perform high-throughput screening of siRNAs using qPCR and a variety of cell-based assays.
Design and execute in vitro screens and assays to characterize novel siRNA modifications that impact activity or uptake.
Develop and conduct assays that support in vivo studies (e.g. qPCR, ELISA) for the quantitative analysis of biomarkers or siRNA activity
Utilize instrumentation and robotics to aid in high throughput (384-well) screening.

Compensation:

$40 hourly
