Automatic Engineer - Neuchatel, Switzerland - Contract

Proclinical is seeking a motivated and skilled Automation Engineer to join a dynamic team in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industry. This is a contract position located in Neuchatel, Switzerland.

Skills & Requirements:

• Bachelor of Sciences HES in Automation Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in the field of biotechnology or the medical/pharmaceutical industry.
• Experience in writing functional and design specifications.
• Knowledge of GMP (good manufacturing practices) requirements and biopharmaceutical industry regulations and standards related to qualification and validation.
• Strong team spirit, dynamic, and willing character.
• Technical curiosity and ability to learn and share skills.
• Methodical and rigorous work ethic with problem-solving abilities.
• Good verbal and written communication in French; English is an asset.
• Proficiency in standard computer tools.
• Knowledge of biotechnology technologies and processes, with experience in computerized and automated systems in this field would be a plus.
• Familiarity with OsiSoft PI and Inmation (Emerson) would be advantageous.

The Automatic Engineer will:

• Provide technical support, maintenance, and improvements for the automation of production equipment.
• Participate in site improvements and changes in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.
• Support automation validation activities.
• Investigate deviations or other problems, providing Automation expertise.
• Administer automated systems linked to the production equipment.
• Support partners' demands as an Automation expert.
• Develop PLC and Supervision software (Rockwell Control Logix and IFIX (GE) Supervision).
• Conduct FAT (factory acceptance tests) and SAT (site acceptance tests) and commission automated systems.
• Promote and adhere to EHS (environment, health, safety) rules on site, contributing to the improvement of intervention conditions through a proactive attitude.
